Molotok
One of the best examples of an underrated record. It was praised back in the day by Paul Major and for good reason. Now, with the net making everything transparent, it became evident that it is not a rare record; but it is still a really great one. It is one of the best ones to buy if you want to dive into the world of obscure singer songwriter albums. If this would be a private press, it would be the stuff of legend. Consistent all through, the 'commercial' title track recorded with session players, while good taken on its own, is the only song which somehow breaks the mood of an album which really feels like an obscure loner private title; the short last track even sounds as if it was taken from an obscure IDM record a la Boards of Canada. Has to be heard by any fan of stuff featured on the 'Wayfaring Strangers' comp.
