Nicely done folk in the style that was popular in the mid-to late sixties (social and political commentary etc...).Batson has a great voice, and on JUST CAN'T LOSE he accompanies himself on acoustic guitar. Brian Page plays drums on a couple of tracks.On some songs they use just a touch reverb, giving it a hint nice psych feel."ACID ARCHIVES" simply lists him as "East coast loner protest deep folk from Scientologist" .I thought i'd seen an indication somewhere that this came out in 1966 , but they say it was 1970, but that gives you the timeframe, at least.The record's as private as they get: it comes in a plain white jacket with the album title stamped on the cover, and the artist's name is hand-written by Batson himself with a maker.
