I've had a hard time over the years searching for those tracks from the CD as the tracklisting indeed was terrible...;-) But nice to read this back.... the HQ clubnights were absolutely mental every single month! Only discovered them in late '97 or so and went almost every month until late '99. What a great sound that was definitely, new to me coming from hardcore gabber in those days and Tom Harding's mixing style and sound surely appealed to me. JP was the man who caught me with his deeper sets similar to the 'old' room in the Melkweg just opposite of the Main whereas Phuture 303, Carlijn, Paul Jay and the likes displayed their top notch deeper techno sets. Still got this CD as well as the Tom harding live one too :) Sweet memories!

HQ (High Quality) is the longest running clubnight Amsterdam has ever known.Every last Friday of the month from 1995 - 2004, clubvenue "De Melkweg" was 'the place to be' for all (UK)HardHouse-lovers. Together with resident DJ's Tom Harding and DJ JP; every important DJ of it's genre (BK, Jon the Dentist, Captain Tinrib, Lisa Lashes etc.) tore the roof off the old milk-factory on the Leidseplein in Amsterdam."DJ JP Recorded Live at HQ" is the second, and last of the 'real live' recorded DJ-mix-series in 1998 and is one of the best examples -and most sought-after- mixes by DJ JP (John Peter Strijker). It examples the unique style of "Amsterdam's, late nineties, hottest recordstore owner" (Groove Connection) and not your typical UK HardHouse-DJ. "H1QU@LITY" is a perfect mix that builds on Progressive House, Trance, Techno and HardHouse and back in the day his three-deck-vinyl-mixes (without MP3's, CDJ's, Decks & FX's) where very, very special.
