Neat single this, somewhat lost in time, as if they had been the next door neighbours of THE BEACH BOYS while they toiled to get "Good Vibrations" to sound exactly right. Soul brothers of our friends WHEN, they seem to have been through some kind of vortex, whisked back to a time when harmonics meant so much more. Very 60s, gentle and very satisfying music. SIMON & GARFUNKEL vocal harmonies seem far removed from the world today, but its nice to hear that those indulging in retro music are now inclined towards the softer, more commercial end, rather than reliving the Hippy Trippy music some seem to cherish, or the Grandads of Rock, which others equally imitate. Perhaps we are due another revival (looks at calendar) god, is it that time already? The real shame is that my version had some noise I doubt was meant to be present, and had a couple of moments when the disc jumped. Of course it may have been deliberate, but I somehow think not - too lo fi to be Lo Fi! Originally reviewed for Metamorphic Journeyman.
