Tejar
This disc came as a big disappointment after the group's first two records. It should have been obvious from a look at the lineup that this was a kind of R&B record more than a blues album. Mike Bloomfield had already split to form 'The Electric Flag' - another band that began with great promise but faded in large part because of heavy drugs.'Crabshaw' seems to be a reference to Elvin Bishop, an Oklahoma guitarist who had a monster hit years later with 'Fooled Around And Fell In Love,' a tune that wouldn't have been out of place on 'Crabshaw.'
