Comment: The Gangster Is Back is easily one of the most popular and widely circulated Elvis Costello bootlegs. A few years ago the FM recording of the entire show, entitled "The Complete Gangster", began circulating. This version compiles the entire The Gangster Is Back (with a few minor edits) with the missing tracks and comments added from "The Complete Gangster".
