With CHUNK021 Virgil Bernixen enters the scene with some kind of lo-fi house sounds. The complete sound is some kind of distorted which strangely makes it familiar (similar to Theo Parrish). "Mental Funk" and "Viral" also have this early seventies wah and clavinet sound as a rhythm element, and this comes near to fusion jazz in a house context.Good for dance floors, lengthy sometimes, but consequently groovy.A 7.8 out of 10 by me.
