I'm fairly sure that the title of this release is a reference to a novella by Sarban, a writer of atmospheric and psychologically twisted supernatural tales.

This is true. I just bought a vinyl copy which includes a small slip of paper saying the following:"... I don't think I have ever been in such silence before. When I stopped to look round and there was no longer the scrunch or squelch of my own feet there was no sound. The day was close and muggy; there was not a breath of air, and that, I thought, must be a rare thing on the moor. ...
