Is it me, or has anyone else had their vinyl become damaged over time because of the plastic sleeve? Mine looks like it has water damaged, but it clearly hasn't. I've read oils in the plastic sleeves can affect the vinyl over time..

electronicsurgeon Is it me, or has anyone else had their vinyl become damaged over time because of the plastic sleeve? Mine looks like it has water damaged, but it clearly hasn't. I've read oils in the plastic sleeves can affect the vinyl over time.. yes i know exactly what you mean. one of my copies of poison dart by the bug did this and it looks like it has a camo effect on it. it's happened to me with other records so i always put them in a nagaoka 102 inner sleeve now which seems to stop it happening.

I'm not surprised after leaving ''syro'' the work of aphex is revalued, fucking people!

I think a lot of people who began to value analord are the fans of aphex twin that never heard of it before syro.

It is an uplifting experience to listen to some of the Analord tracks several years after there release even though it seems this acid masterpieces have never been very remote from one's life during all these years. When I switched on my player yesterday adn selected Analord 07, the effect Lisbon acid, the longest track on this EP, did on my mind was indeed remarkable. I felt I was in one of those warehouse where we used to listen to amplified music and dance on it almost 20 years ago. I mean I really felt it in my body and my mind. The power and the energy are equivalent even on an MP3 player in my cosy bourgeois living room with my child playing close to me. There has to be sommething magical in this anarchic gathering of sounds that this track strangely managed finally to bring to an acme. I suggest to consider "Lisbon acid" as a cure against depressed mental states and no less than as lesson for a modern way of life !

I guess you could call this The Lost Windowlicker Breaks EP to sum up how it sounds as all 3 tracks in this installment of Analord 7 are very electro b-boy breaks influenced. The first track Lisbon Acid has a dark moody Aphex analog acid techno/funk and for some odd reason I'm sensing a feel of New Order Blue Monday on the kick drums. Not really for the dancefloor as the techno stomper part leaves after a few minutes and the breakdowns are a tad too long but very melodic and chill. The next track Pitcard is what I feel is the winner track of Analord 7. The second I heard it I liked it but then I realized it sounded more like Orbital vs AFX. I can't put my finger on what Orbital track (for sure thier earlier work) the boucy analog synth line progression feel is from but it sure sounds good! AFX adds his own style with his stop and start drum breakdowns and later adds the acid and synth melodys of his style. AFX Acid 04 is what it says. Funky, B-boy, acid, 808 beats of the early 80's sounding electro but still you know it is AFX providing those trademark gooey acid basses. I could see someone mixing this over some main stream hiphop accapella and people would go mad thinking it was the Neptunes producing it or something someday. Overall I'm very happy with Analord 7 but I feel it still doesn't beat out Analord 4 yet?!
