Agreed with plaidzebra, usually tracks that made bands singles later, booklets were pretty top notch with full color & glossy like magazines, I managed to grab the entire series (not easy stateside back then).

Arador

Compilations in the Volume series are always a mixed bag, but among the often wildly incongruous selections there are usually at least a couple of memorable tracks that may be otherwise difficult to come by. For fans of the neopsychedelic, shoegazery pop/rock of the early nineties, Volume 7 contains a few essential classics. The live track by Verve is difficult to find elsewhere, I think, and it is a stunning meditation on death with cascading sheets of noisy guitar. The Seefeel remix is also a great find, which turns the lysergic elements of the original up to eleven. The more easily obtained Slowdive and Boo Radleys tracks are also memorable. There are some other interesting odds and ends but fans of these four bands are especially encouraged to seek this out.
