Notes

The tradition of country folk and dance music has roots in all parts of Europe. Although the origin of most of the dances (Jigs and Reels in Scotland and Ireland, Morris and Hornpipes in England, Polkas and Mazurkas in Europe etc) can be traced, the dances and rhythms have long passed from country to country and have become the heritage of European Folk Music.
