a really LARGE compilation with not necessarily that many BIG tunes, covering not a really wide span of diverse streams of jamaican music of that time - the compilation is somehow trapped in too many HITS HITS HITS & EAR-WORMS which served their times well, but been "killed" by too many covers = not many sophisticated choices --- BUT: if this is your first contact with jamaican music of that time yo are not making necessarily a bad choice ;-)

Got my box at yesterdays record store day, too. It´s brilliant as you say, AudioPhilo. Heavyweight and solid box, 180gr vinyl, and beautiful inlays with nice artworks and photos. Many wellknown artists, but also some songs I didn´t not know till today. I payed 72,- €uros, and I have no regrets. :)
