Description Abstract: Peggy Seeger performed a concert at Antioch College on November 14, 1961. Her leftist political views and her visit to Russia and later to China, against the advice of the U.S. State Department, resulted in being prohibited to further travel if she returned to the U.S. Instead of returning, she stayed to tour Europe and began a life in London in 1956. Seeger was able to gain British citizenship that allowed her to travel to the U.S.
