*cough* David McCallum is one of my favorite actors from the sixties but his music is about as funky as Kate Smith. How some people come up with these styles and genres is beyond me.

Depends on one's understanding of what 'arranging' means in a studio context and the creative choices that go into that. The guy was invited to do at least 3 albums for one of the largest labels with a trusted Producer of the era , David Axelrod with a cracking band. It could be in the end, your view is limited with those aspects stacked against you and the fact I can play several tracks just from this album to an unsuspecting crowd of people who love to dance, and dance they do. That's usually the answer. Way funkier than Kate Smith .
