There is very deep conversation about whether or not this is an unofficial release or not. In a nutshell, the argument is whether or not the matrix matches the original releases and the fact that this release doesn't credit the mastering engineer. I am still a bit unconvinced this is unofficial - all credits are listed on the label which is not common of a bootleg done around the era of the original release. Regardless, I own this copy and it sounds fantastic. Not like a bootleg at all. Anyway it's a shame if this version gets prohibited from sale on the market because it's a bit of a cheaper option to own this record and while I don't have the original, I can imagine it sounds similar to this release if not the same.

The instrumental b-side is definitely the version I like best here, playing it alongside discoand boogie releases of the same era. I think the a-side works better in a funk and early rap/hip hop setting.Bought this edition second hand in 1992 or 1993 from a dj's collection of 12"s containingmainly Italo/Eurodisco/house releases from the mid to late '80s. I'm guessing it might have been pressed in that period, but not sure. Probably pre-90s at least, I believe. Not sure whether it could be a European or American bootleg. Pressing is fair and has so far endured the last 23+ years in my possession being actively used in clubs, without too much wear.

Labeled as a 33 rpm but plays at 45 rpm
