Great box set here. I own older pressings of all the albums included here (including a first UK pressing of In the City) and these compare favorably against those. The mastering is well done and GZ did a job job on pressing the records. In fact, these are the best pressed GZ albums I have, and I'd put them up against any new record pressed anywhere.I might prefer some of the older pressings by a hair, but I think any fan of the group will be pleased with the sound quality on this set, especially if you don't want to overplay your older pressings. One thing I do not like about the set is that the box doesn't have much wiggle room inside if you like to store your records in outer sleeves as I do. Because of this, I store the LPs and the hardback book outside the box. Also, the included inner sleeves are very tight paper sleeves and you are going to need to clean these records before play for optimum sound (either on a Spin Clean or RCM). I store the actual records in anti-static HDPE inners, not the paper inners. These are minor issues though, as the sound, presentation, and the nice book make this set a must have IMHO.

I don't understand how the 'Extras -Special Singles :1977 - 1982 (Volume One) and Two are advertised has having non-album tracks? Surely they should be advertised as 'Alternative Versions of album tracks and B-Sides'?

that'll be because none of the tracks are on any of the albums! exception is smithers-jones, which is on setting sons, however, this version is different to the b-side of the single when you're young.
