Fragments from a Long Country is an understated but elegant journey through techno and emotion. Mark O'Sullivan is a Swedish based Irish man with a music production CV the digi kids would give their favourite memory stick away for and his début album doesn't disappoint as Mark juxtaposes between Detroit style techno, Deep Berlin-esque Minimal and even ambient orchestrations. The music flows like the tides and the fusion of up tempo and down tempo works well and shows aplomb for music making, track selection, set building that Mark uses to create a truly class electronic album. The fact it was nominated for an Irish music award whilst still on promo speaks louder than words.
