This promo CD is an interesting look into the release process for the album. The track order was re-jiggered by the time Half Mad Moon was ready for commercial release on Sire, bringing up "Unholy Train" from track #10 on this promo to track #1, while demoting "Things I Once Adored" from the lead spot down to #10. The final release version of the album also had a slight EQ adjustment to make it brighter-sounding. "Unholy Train", however, seems to have been recut for the album once it was decided to make this the "single"; the promo version is 4 seconds shorter and does not have the bouncy Motown-styled bass intro, and it also seems to lack an extra layer of guitar overdubs that are present in the final version. The backing track may be largely the same, but the complete song is not at all the same version with just an EQ adjustment.
