This E.P from 5 piece band Black Spiders is a very good E.P, stuff like this should really stop a band from being underground, but sadly the state of heavy music is in tatters at the moment.Anyway on to the reviewing: "Stay Down" is the opening track on the album, it is a very upbeat song straight away, and stays that way throughout the song. It has a very good vibe, but it is overall an aggressive song, which is very good because there's barely any aggression in music now-a-days: great to see a band bringing back the old school. The solo in this song is perfect for it: very quick, but not stupid, it fits perfectly."Jitterbug" is the second song on the album, a song about love. But unlike most rock now-a-days, it's not a gay soppy pile of crap. It's a very good old school rock and roll song, like how hard rock should be done. It is more about the sexual part of love, very well made song.The skit is very interesting, sets the mood for "Meadow" perfectly.Now, "Meadow" seems to be a lot of peoples favourite songs from this E.P, with fair reason, it is a very skilled song, but for me it is boring, don't get me wrong: I like it, but it's a bit too long for me personally. Still a very good song for fans of hard rock and classic rock. Their AC/DC cover is brilliant, can't thnk of a better tribute to the Aussie masters.Overall: this E.P is for fans of old school hard rock, with blues influence.Watch this space, this band are gonna be big. I'm glad to save I have this album in my collection.
