CV (Compilation Video) is a collection of musician extraordinaire Peter Gabriel's promotional videos for his single releases between 1982 and 1989. Most of these went largely unnoticed until he unleashed "Sledgehammer" (taken off his most accessible and commercially successful album "So") onto an unsuspecting public in 1986... and dammit: What an amazing piece of work it is, finally garnering several awards along the way. Equally fabulous is the loud and sarcastic video for "Big Time", taken from the same album, and other highlights being the insanity of "Shock The Monkey" and "I Don’t Remember", whilst the remainder are rather slow tracks with stylish but rather unassuming videos. Observation: The 5-minute hug that is "Don't Give Up 1" consists of one single take.
