I warn against buying this box! Low quality LP rips, low quality noise reduction, low quality CD copying. Better go for the original LPs.

It's funny how I didn't hear anyone (apart from myself) "warn against buying the records" when Meditations 1 & 2 (and also Ruth White's Flowers Of Evil) were re-issued on vinyl with terribly "restored" audio from the original vinyl. At least the CDs won't add more noise to the recordings. Keep in mind that even after you pay tons of money for them, the orignal vinyl could sound bad too because of inherent vinyl distortion, crackle, pops, embedded layers of dust and stylus wear. I found this out after buying a "near mint" copy of the orignal "Flowers Of Evil". What a joke. Until the master tapes are found and better CD re-issue is produced, I'll take this boxed set any day over some pointless vinyl re-issue counterpart.

mastodontica box composta da 18 cds e un booklet.La box e'numerata a 500 pezzi ed e'destinata a divenire una rarita'.Joel Vandroogenbroeck e'la mente geniale dei cosmic-krautrock BRAINTICKET, pregevole band che ha sfornato capolavori quali PSYCONAUT, CELESTIAN OCEAN (di questi due consiglio l'edizione Reactive-esoteric in grandioso remastering) etc..I cds della box sono cartonati e non jewel-case, il booklet e'commentato da Vandroogenbroeck(magari poteva essere un po'piu'ampio e con maggiori foto dell'epoca).Questi 18 vecchi album, sono per lo piu'sconosciuti e alcuni interessantissimi:BIOMECHANOID:realizzato per il grande H.R.Giger con atmosfere uniche.COMPUTER BLOSSOMS:con un occhio di riguardo a computer world dei kraftwerk(stesso anno di realizzazione)MEDITATION 1 e 2:una meditazione elettronica avvolgente.VIDEO GAMES & DATA MOVEMENTS:dedicato ai vecchi videogiochi stile commodore e atari.IMAGES OF FLUTE IN NATURE:grande album (il suo primo da solista) con flauti e tappeti elettronici.REMIX 88:by C.Peron che remixa I Brainticket.e altri(alcuni un po'troppo etnici) e un terribile "CALIFORNIA".(quest'ultimo e'da vinile e non dai masters originali).A tal proposito segnalo la qualita'QUASI sempre ottimale, ma evidentemente quei due-tre lavori di qualita'modesta, presi da vinile o audio cassette, erano forse masters andati perduti e si e'ritenuto di operare cosi', la stella in meno e'dovuto a questo.In definitiva consigliata agli amanti dei Brainticket assolutamente, precisando che pur non raggiungendo la grandiosita'del gruppo, sono album di estremo interesse (almeno 10 su 18 direi).raccomando anche il nuovo album Brainticket appena uscito:"PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE"

The box is GOOD,with rare and extraordinary albums,many from the original masters! (unfortunately something is from VINYL,maybe because the masters in any case, LOST)18 cds limited at 500 set numbered.Computer Blossoms, Biomechanoid and Image of Flute in nature, the my favourites...I recommend also the almost all album of BRAINTICKET!
