The concept of the "Rewind!" compilation series is simple: Ubiquity's favorite artists cover their favorite tracks, revealing influences and bringing classic tunes up to date (Thanks Ubiquity!) For me, the standout here is most definitely 'Evil Vibrations' re-worked by overall top chaps The Rebirth. To my ears this version surpasses that of The Mightey Ryeders original with it's smoother edge and more soulful underpinning. The false start is fun for DJ's and a real tease for the dancers, it really is an awesome track, the problem is that trying to find a copy now is pretty damn hard as they were highly limited pressings and are now going for megabucks apparantly. Recommended and a definite 'blind buy' if you see one up for grabs.
