Would like to find out more about the IRDA (International Record Distributing Association) set-up; Upwards of 50 labels, most seemingly one-off releases but with just the IRDA catalogue number in common. Seems strange in this day and age: guessing it was relatively easy (and cheap) to get records pressed and independently distributed in the mid-70's out of Nashville, but unusual for the distributor itself to be the record company, as it were. Maybe it was custom pressing and distribution operation, but difficult to see how that could make money. Then again, some of these releases look like they could well have been tax write-offs and the like...like this one.
