Reminiscent of the Prelude groups Musique and the Strikers. Peter Brown & Patrick Adams pull out another underground gem for the heads. This coming on the tail end of the a Disco era! Vocal and Instumental mixes were played by the few who had the OG Copies. I remember Francois K rocking this back in the day! A definite floor filler for the NYC Underground dancers!

Mettiarrb
This Ahzz production is nowhere near the caliber of classics from Prelude groups like Musique and The Strikers.

Happy to have a copy of the 2016 repress. The pressing distorts a little on my system (I know P&P releases tended to be 'raw' but this sounds like a pressing issue to me.) In 1981 West End had already released Taana Gardner's 'Heartbeat', and Prelude has released D-Train's 'You're The One For Me' … Ahzz must have sounded very, very dated in 1981 … which is clearly a part of its charm!

I love the drums and percussions on this NY Disco must. I don´t know why expensive values on this, i bought it a few days ago at only u$s15 here in Argentina and the record is NM. Anyway... a great disco tune!

showtime
Nice but not essential. The unchanging lead guitar-driven rhythm starts to sound monotonous after a while. There is a lot of other club material from this period in NY City that I rank much higher.

When you write "There is a lot of other club material from this period in NY City that I rank much higher", you must understand that people might wonder which songs you are referring to... and you are asking for a fee? LOL! Just name some songs god damnit.

Exellent
It depends on what it will be used for. A magazine article? A book on the era? To help other DJs and collectors build their brand? What do you have in mind?

White_Nigga
All right. How much is your fee for 1970s-1980s NY City club/music industry/street scene experience?

Dominator
Yes, for a fee. 1970s-1980s NY City club/music industry/street scene experience commands a premium.

Obviously, we have incompatibly different standards for evaluating music and when to "drop it". And I am a top-level clubber from the 1970s-1980s with one of the best collections in the world that spans the entire NYC music experience and club scene from the period - disco, soul, funk, boogie, alternative, original hip-hop, power ballads and more. There are very few people who covered clubs like The Loft, The Garage, Bonds, Studio 54, Xenon, Better Days, Gotham East, Gotham West, The Pyramid, The Fever (all the way uptown) and more. I stand by my review :-)

Syleazahad
Wrong!!! Hardly needs pointing out but this here is an OUTSTANDING disco jam that just builds and builds into a hypnotic frenzy...lethal if you know when to drop it. Worth every penny.Up there with Kiss Me Again and similarly priced for the same reason. If your not feelin this one your either a corpse or need to lay off the powder!

After Speaking With Steve Boston Many Times On The Phone Whom Was Also The Writer On Lemon's Freak On... He Had Said To Me That The First Pressing Of Ahzz's 'NEW YORK MOVING' Later On Becoming 'New York's Movin' Was A 'SOLID BLUE' Label Which Was Sent Specifically To A Few Key Radio Jocks & Limited Record Pools Throughout New York City & The Bronx!!

Drelalak
Essential 1981 New York disco favourite of Danny Krivitt. Hand-claps in abundance, male harmonies, and funky Paradise Garage vibe throughout ensures this is a dancefloor classic.
