Yet another outer space freakout from AMT on Important Records. As usual on this imprint, travelling on their most experimental spaceship, with a guest appearance of former members Cotton Casino and Ichiraku Yoshimitsu.The album opens up with "Dark Star Blues" aka "Dark Stars In The Dazzling Sky" a well known classic AMT tune, this time featured as an acoustic and live-sounding version with english lyrics (at least, i think the original one was Japanese, no?). "Pleasure Mantra Of Sorrows" is the strangest number, mostly made of electronics and tape machine laid over a backgound of randomness."Kiss In The Tangerine Dream House" has a very unusual pattern and scale, an obsessive loop of orientalish soundscapes against heavily effected and synthesized guitars featuring Cotton's warbling vocals and ride-driven percussions, becoming more and more trippier as the flight goes on. My favorite.The title track comes from the depths of the galaxy in forms of screeching drones and sinister howls. Out of nothing an obsessive uptempo drums beat emerges and everything ends up on a mayhem of noisy speed freaks as expectable.AMT in great form as always. It's a pity that there still a lot of space on the vinyl itself as the tracks fade out quite early around the 19th minute, while they could have gone on a bit more. The yellow vinyl is good looking but a bit hissy.
