I just love Monarch–I'll Be Right There (the shelter mix). What a great song. Atmospheric. This is why I love garage. I heard this record back in 1991 on Amsterdam FM. A underground local radiostation. They were some of the first to play house music back in 1987-1988.I recorded this song on my cassette deck. Years later I came across the record collection of the guy who played it on Amsterdam FM. He died from illness. Sad indeed but I could not believe I bought the record he played and I taped at home. will never sell this record.

Yes his collection ended up being sold at Record Palace right across Paradiso in Amsterdam (sadly before I got the change). But I was first to dig in his collection in the back of the record shop.Now you mentioned his name I remember it. It was indeed Marcel Kennis. Amsterdam FM at the time was the best source for taping house music. They started playing house as early as in 1987 I believe.
