Quite disappointing box in my opinion. Yes, the production is great. And yes, the sound is flawless. But what exactly is the sense of releasing a box of live versions when nothing gives you the feeling of a live performance? As you only get the clean and sterile music files instead of a true live recording including the atmosphere and the reactions of the audience you should go for the "Minimum-Maximum" release if you are interested in a Kraftwerk live recording. If you are already in possession of "Der Katalog" box from 2004 and "Minimum-Maximum" you might want to skip this one.

yeah I wouldn't classify this as live, even though it seems to be marketed that way. the credits seem to indicate that only the non-programmed vocals are live and that everything else was programmed in studio by hilpert. it seems to capture what they were doing on tour that year, but i don't know why it's just not live.

This release is not meant to be a classical "live" release as the "Minimum Maximum" album was. In a certain way it is suited between the "Minimum Maximum" album and the "The Mix" album. And that's another reason it's interesting.

Just a thought and something noted,- It seems like the english and german version of this catalogue are identical music-vise, where they only have mixed in the german voices on the german release.The songs are identical in length and all the samples I've compared are identical apart from just the vocal.In other words, there will be no difference in the sound or melodies of the german compared to the english versions,- just the same recordings with mixed in vocals.
