Album has been poorly mastered for vinyl and the pressing is not good quality. The sound quality is worse than CD or download. Extreme amounts of distortion and sibilance. It's a shame as the songs are great.

It could be that you've bought the wrong country release. TRY the US pressing and see if it has the same issue :)

I concur, I have the same experience with my copy. Loads of distortion, vry unpleasant to my ears. Great songs though...
