So, as far as I can tell, this is the release some people consider the "black sheep" of the Interstate One catalog so far. Well, I will merely remark that I think this is a fantastic and underrated record.Sitrus' "Acid Universe" is my favorite track on the release, and is a dark and pounding acid-techno monster. The percussion scheme is great, and really gives the track a hard, stomping sound. Clean, crisp, and delightfully acidic, this tune is brilliant, and I look forward to more releases from Sitrus here! 5/5 all the way."Acid Cocktail" is top-class as well, and also exudes a dark tone. This one is a bit more of rumbler, though, and chugs along with a great deal of deviant menace. It also features several syncopation-release moments, all of which are very cool and rhythmic. 5/5.Tik Tok gives us another ripping tune, though perhaps a shade more restrained and stripped-down than "Angry Villagers" or "Dragons." Still, this track contains wicked acid lines and driving percussion, and is not to be underestimated. 4/5.Finally, A.P. delivers the title track, and it is utterly filthy. It features mean, twisted acid lines in conjunction with roguish, dissonant noises. If you don't like evil acid, run for cover when this one starts, as it is a muckraker from beginning to end. Great stuff, 4/5.Keep the Interstate One train coming! :)
