No one seems to know just who The First Impression were. A bunch of session men, or an actual gigging band? Certainly, it seems at times that maybe different musicians are featured on the tracks, but hey! It's genuinely great! Lightweight late 60's pop yes, but certainly not throwaway. The title track is a goody, and Piccadilly Sunshine is by far the best track - Imagine an unreleased single by the Tremeloes or The Searchers from this period. If you see a cheap copy, pick it up. The front cover's worth it itself!
