Punishing! Each piece is a polyrhythmic whirlwind. Instrumental percussion tracks all- and each with a similar hypnotic effect. It creates a cohesive LP and at times it seems there will be no end to the commotion and blown-out drum-rumbling moments that appear throughout. I really can't tell if it is just the pressing itself that is "bad" or if everything was just recorded super hot on purpose, but whatever the case, everything is mega distorted and it comes off like some fucking Konono Nº1 action! This is some totally in-the-red craziness... sounds good to me! Relentless. And definitely does NOT need more cowbell. There's just enough. Just Enough.
