Although there are no Latin music tracks per say in this release, Machito takes and transforms some of the old R&B, Rock, and Pop classics and give them a Latin Jazz twist.

Machito gets the Latin Soul treatment. Many of these tracks are hard and funkier than other Machitos LP's, especially with the Alto Sax funk! Includes some great Conga and Bongo riffs on most tracks. Sounds like a Mongo Santamaria Columbia release. Includes arrangements by Bert De Coteaux.
