This is a amazing record. Sure it may sound like "easy listening" or "exotica", but there is something so magical about the way it is put together and I cannot really put it into words. With this group Zorn creates music that can be appreciated on many levels. The musical interaction of this group sounds almost intuitive, as if everyone is of the same mind and all the notes fit organically as if there were no other possible outcome. I have been harsh on Zorn in the past for some of his excesses, none are present on this record. Also the picture disc has fantastic sound quality.

One of the best Zorn's projects ever. Actually i don't like compilations & 'best offs' but this music stuff here is so lyrical & unique .... & i was wondering for years WHEN my DREAM will become true...& i m still wondering when i ll spin on my turntable some of Zorn's "filmworks" or Bar Kokhba or Acoustic Masada or whatever stuff from this MEGAMUSIC LABEL...Tzadik!
