Many people (okay maybe not MANY) were excited that Maurizio Bianchi/MB had come out of his sudden retirement. Unfortunately, this is how he started is comeback. It's awful. It's not even that it doesn't sound like old MB, it's just bad. Imagine someone sitting at an electronic keyboard and noodling on it. That's about it. Thankfully recordings of his since this time have improved, though it's still not as surprising and magical as the best of his early recordings.

I don't understand how you can dismiss this album as "synth nooding" and praise Bianchi's early works. The same thing can be said about releases such as Dicembre 1980, Mectpyo Blut, IBM, and Technology. I won't say Colori is a perfect album but it's far more than mere "synth noodling" - especially since MB's earlier works can be described with the same derogatory terminology.
