Ahh...Hit Box 1. The very first compilation in what was to become a very successful series in Greece, and one of the most consistent in theme (it's practically 100% Euro Dance throughout), with big names of the time and a lot of long, extended mixes. It also dramatically introduced FM Record's policy of including several bonus tracks on the CD (and often MC) editions of its compilations, in this case bringing the 9 tracks of the original LP edition to 15, quite a lot more.Of course, whether you have the LP or CD edition, in both cases you have a very solid Euro Dance compilation with some neat choices like Zi Pompa and Impossible (extended version) to set it apart from other 1993 compilations.Back to the bonus tracks, what was really neat about them was that some practically extended the compilation (so you got two tracks by 2 Unlimited on the same compilation, plus 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor and Richenel) while others gave you a small taste of other genres and usually included rare tracks. This practice became practically a tradition for the Hit Box series afterwards (as well as for other series by FM Records), and the bonus tracks almost always gave extra value to the CD editions.A historical compilation, worthy of being the head of a historical series.
